Love's Sacred Wine
PoetryBy Sheikh RahilJuly 24, 2026
Dropeth from a beloved's eye a pearl,
Where Heaven's grief is folded in a whirl.
I will cherish it, drink it with heavy heart,
As sacred wine that keeps our souls from part.
What else is love where an eye is not wet,
A prayer unwept, by Heaven unanswered yet?
So, dear, shed pearls, more pearls and more,
Each sacred tear unlocks Heaven's hidden door.
The meek are crowned where silent sorrows flow,
And purest hearts through deepest anguish grow.
O you pillagers, play not with the innocent,
Lest every tear become your testament.
For every pearl ascends before God's throne,
And justice blooms where mercy's seed is sown.
