Beyond the veil, Love Remains
PoetryBy Sheikh RahilJuly 24, 2026
Fear not, dear, I shall vanish, soft and slow
Bear with me, dear, for I must leave as well.
No mighty scholar's light forever glows,
Nor wizard's art can break death's silent spell.
The fire will fade to ashes, calm and bright,
As dust returns to where it first began
The stars grow dim before the coming night,
So passes every dream and every man.
Do not seek me where empty echoes stay,
Nor bind my name to marble, time, or stone
The wind will gently bear my dust away,
Yet love will make no heart remain alone.
When all I was has turned to silent air,
Remember not my end, but that I cared.
